EXPERIENCED LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
We are looking for an experienced Landscape Designer / Architect to work on a number of exciting projects at different design stages, from concept to tender to contract implementation.
We are keen to hear from proactive and talented designers with excellent creativity and communication skills:
Skills and experience:
A relevant degree in architecture/landscape architecture
Minimum three years professional experience
Chartered member status of Landscape Institute or equivalent professional status is desired
A passion for great design
Ability to use landscape related software to a very high standard including Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup
Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety, CDM & Risk Assessments, Building Regulations
Professional conduct, excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
Undertake full scope of landscape architect duties on small projects from inception to completion (including design, detailing and supporting cost estimating, preparation of contract and tender documentation, tendering and administration of contracts and all works on site to completion) to a high standard
Assist in preparing proposals and sub-contracts
Manage sub-consultants and technical coordination (small projects)
Deliver efficient contract administration on smaller projects and support efficient contract administration on larger projects, including up-to-date and accurate project records and filing
Support presentation and report development for clients.
Attend and contribute to client and consultant meetings / presentations
Your working week
We would ideally like our new member of the team to be open to coming into our beautiful co-working space in London Fields a few times a week. Our team is small and ever evolving, and the projects we win are a variety of scales, from small urban garden designs to larger commercial landscape design and planning. A typical week during the build season can include site visits, meetings with contractors, desktop designing, sourcing plants and trees, project managing builds, and keeping in contact with clients as their projects progress.
